Dr. Ann Hanon
Dr. Daniel Hanon received his B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madision in 1992.
While there, he was enrolled in honors biology, chemistry and physics and worked as a research assistant at
McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. He completed his
medical training at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, IA, where he
obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.) degree in 1997. Dr. Hanon's residency training was completed
at the St. Louis Veterans Affairs Medical Center with well-rounded training in all aspects of foot, ankle and
leg care.
While Dr. Hanon enjoys all aspects of podiatry, he particular enjoys using conservative treatments to get
patients "back on their feet." Custom foot orthotics, (arch supports), physical therapy, medications and
shoe gear modifications are very effective for most foot conditions. Professional interests include
reconstructive foot surgery, sports medicine and diabetic foot and wound care.
Dr. Hanon is an avid fresh and saltwater multi-species fisherman. He also enjoys hiking, cycling and photography.
Dr. Hanon married his medical school sweetheart Ann, with
whom he has two beautiful children.
